Job summary

The Salvation Army store in the local area is seeking a dependable Store Clerk to sort donated items, prepare them for display, and assist customers at the register. You will handle cash, balance the drawer, and maintain sales records while keeping the sorting area orderly and clean.

This role requires standing for long periods, light lifting, and a willingness to work Saturday hours as needed. Prior retail or donation center experience is preferred, with a High School diploma or GED expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or donation center preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light objects.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare donated items for display.
• Ring up sales, handle cash, prepare receipts, and balance the cash drawer.
• Prepare and deliver bank deposits and maintain sales records.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in sorting and store areas.
