Job summary

The Salvation Army in Moundsville, WV is seeking a part-time Sorter/Store Clerk. Handle donations, sort items, and prepare them for display while assisting customers at the register. Maintain a clean, organized store and provide a friendly shopping experience.

Responsibilities include tagging, pricing, stocking, and supporting loading/unloading areas as needed. Prior retail experience is a plus; high school diploma or GED required; up to 28 hours per week scheduled.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift and move items up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated items by category and condition for display.
• Select good items for store display and prepare for pricing.
• Tag items with prices and codes according to policy.
• Assist customers at the register and handle cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and back room.
• Assist with donation pickups and loading as needed.
• Open/close store following scheduled procedures.
• Provide friendly user experience and answer questions about pricing.
