Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Sorter/Donation Processor to prepare donations for retail sale or salvage in our on-site facilities in California. You will sort, clean, and process donated items, maintain a clean work area, and ensure safety procedures are followed during loading and unloading.

Qualified individuals will typically have a high school diploma or GED and must complete required safety training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must complete and follow all safety training requirements provided by immediate Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Sort, clean, prepare, and ship donated items for sale or salvage.
• Maintain donation area clean and organized; adhere to safety policies for loading/unloading.
• Determine saleable, repairable, or salvageable items.
• Load donations for truck delivery.
• Follow accident and injury reporting procedures.
