Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries is seeking staff to assist donors, handle donations, and maintain records at donation centers across sites. The role requires greeting donors within 10 seconds, unloading donations, and ensuring accurate daily counts.

You will help secure and transport items to stores and warehouses, while following AGI safety policies. Ideal candidates can work independently, have reliable transportation, and pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:At Alabama Goodwill Industries, our Mission is to help change lives through the power of work. We serve our community by providing employment development services and placement assistance for employment. Our programs are supported with profits generated through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores.Under the general supervision of the Donation Centers Manager, a trainer, or another designee, is responsible for customer service, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting donors, breakdown of donations and maintenance of accurate donor records. Also, may be responsible for covering work shifts and working at different donation sites as needed which are regularly permanently assigned, or closer to the team member's home.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ensures 100% donor and customer delight.Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner within 10 seconds; unloads donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts and maintain accurate daily counts of donations.Sorts donations and secure items to be transported to stores and warehouse.Keeps a record of donations.Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies in an efficient manner.
