Job summary

Alabama Goodwill Industries (AGI) is seeking a hands-on Donation Center Associate to support donor relations and daily operations at our donation sites. You will greet donors, unload donations, issue tax receipts, and help maintain accurate donation counts while ensuring safety and security guidelines are followed.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors promptly and courteously.
• Unload donations from vehicles and issue tax receipts.
• Sort donations and prepare items for transport to stores.

• Order and maintain office supplies efficiently.
• Adhere to safety, security, and company policies.

SUMMARY:At Alabama Goodwill Industries, our Mission is to help change lives through the power of work. We serve our community by providing employment development services and placement assistance for employment. Our programs are supported with profits generated through the sale of donated goods in our Retail Stores.Under the general supervision of the Donation Centers Manager, a trainer, or another designee, is responsible for customer service, facility security and maintenance, greeting and assisting donors, breakdown of donations and maintenance of accurate donor records. Also, may be responsible for covering work shifts and working at different donation sites as needed which are regularly permanently assigned, or closer to the team member's home.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ensures 100% donor and customer delight.Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner within 10 seconds; unloads donations from vehicles, offer tax receipts and maintain accurate daily counts of donations.Sorts donations and secure items to be transported to stores and warehouse.Keeps a record of donations.Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies in an efficient manner.
