Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is seeking Donation Attendants to welcome donors, help unload donations, and ensure safe and efficient handling at the donation site.

You will greet donors, sort items, issue receipts, assist truck drivers, and uphold safety and ethics standards while working in varying outdoor conditions. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with one year or less of related experience encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in varying outdoor weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to donors, greeting each one with professionalism and appreciation.
• Assist donors with unloading vehicles and ensure donations are handled safely and carefully.
• Issue donation receipts and maintain accurate records of donors daily.
• Sort donated items by category and place them in designated containers for processing.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the donation site at all times.
• Assist truck drivers with loading and unloading donations as needed.
• Work in various donation center locations as assigned.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and Goodwill’s Code of Ethics.
• Report potential losses or safety concerns promptly to leadership.
