Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA in Slidell, LA seeks a Donation Attendant. This full-time position is suitable for a student (high school) and requires supporting donors, sorting donations, maintaining safety and a clean work area.

Responsibilities include providing courteous service, accepting donations, and promoting the organization's mission while following safety policies. Flexibility for days, nights, and weekends is needed.

Qualifications

Ability to interact cordially with a variety of people.
Ability to market the Goodwill mission to the public.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods; bend and stretch as needed.
Flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.
Lift/carry up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
Read/write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

Project a positive image of Goodwill to all donors.
Sort donated materials as instructed.
Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and promote safe, courteous service.
Accept donations from the public and issue receipts.
Present a positive image through prompt, courteous service.
Follow the safety policies of the Company as it pertains to the work area.
Other work-related duties as assigned.
