Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Donation Attendant in Marrero, LA. You will greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts while presenting a positive image of the organization.

Responsibilities include sorting donated materials, maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area, and delivering prompt, courteous service to donors. This role requires standing, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must interact cordially with a variety of people.
• Must market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
• Able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive image of Goodwill to donors.
• Sort donated materials as instructed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment and promote courteous service to donors.
• Accept donations from the general public and issue receipts.
• Present a positive image of the Company through prompt, courteous service.
• Follow the safety policies of the Company as it pertains to the work area.
