Job summary

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA in LaPlace, LA is seeking a Donation Attendant. Working full-time, you will greet donors, sort donated materials, and help maintain a clean, hazard-free area while upholding the Goodwill mission.

The role requires strong English communication, the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and a flexible schedule including weekends. Prior retail or service experience is welcome but not required for HS students.

Qualifications

• Must interact cordially and productively with donors.
• Explain Goodwill mission to the public.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and stretch for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule on short notice, including days, nights and weekends.
• Able to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
• Must read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive image of Goodwill to all donors.
• Sort donated materials as instructed.
• Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment; promote safe, courteous service.
• Accept donations from the general public and issue receipts.
• Present a positive image of the Company through prompt, courteous service.
• Follow the safety policies of the Company as it pertains to the work area.
