Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Retail Donation Attendant for the Manhattan Store - Poyntz. This hourly full-time position offers a starting rate of $15.50 per hour with a monthly bonus up to $250 and a strong benefits package.

Responsibilities include assisting donors, sorting donations, maintaining store cleanliness, and supporting store operations while upholding Goodwill policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Effective communication with coworkers, customers and management.
• Must be organized and able to interact with a diverse work population.
• Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings and assistance to donors with donations and tax receipts.
• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online, outlet, trash) per guidelines.
• Notify management of hazardous or inappropriate merchandise.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Keep store area clean, stock, rotate, and maintain cleanliness; ensure walkways are debris-free.
• Uphold dress code and professional appearance; maintain safety and security of agency assets.
• Build positive relationships with team members and leadership and collaborate cross-functionally across teams.
• Comply with all policies, procedures, and safety regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus Up to $250; benefits for full-time employees (health/dental/vision, life/AD&D, 403(b), PTO, holidays, flexible schedules).
