Job summary

Goodwill Central East Texas is hiring a Donation Associate to warmly welcome donors and efficiently sort treasures. You will help unload donations, keep the space organized, and ensure safety while moving items to the sales floor.

On a typical day you’ll greet customers with a friendly energy, assist with pricing, and maintain a clean, safe workspace. No formal education required; the role emphasizes attitude and teamwork.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’re the first smile people see when they donate! As a Donation Associate, you’ll welcome donors, sort treasures, and keep things moving smoothly and safely. No two days are ever the same — and we think that’s pretty awesome!

Here’s what a typical day might look like:

• Delivering 100% satisfaction to all donors and customers
• Greeting everyone with a big smile and great energy
• Helping unload donations with carts or dollies
• Offering tax receipts with a friendly ‘thank you!’
• Keeping track of how many amazing donors we meet each day
• Cleaning, pricing, and moving cool stuff to the sales floor
• Sorting goods into fun categories (think: treasure hunt!)
• Getting items to the right place (processing, sales, warehouse)
• Keeping your space clean, organized, and safe
• Reporting anything unsafe right away
• Showing up on time, ready to roll
• Following all the team rules and vibes
• Helping out with whatever keeps the mission moving

What We’re Looking For

• No formal education required — just a great attitude!
• Solid people skills and a team-first mindset
• Able to lift, move, and carry donated items
• Follows safety rules like a pro
• Works well solo or as part of our awesome crew

What to Expect

• Mostly indoors, sometimes outside
• Active, hands-on work (no cubicles here!)
• Some weekends required — we keep things moving
