Goodwill ~ Redwood Empire in Santa Rosa, CA is hiring a Retail Assistant Manager. This full-time role oversees daily store operations, works with the Store Manager, and supervises staff and volunteers while upholding policy and safety standards.

The position requires leadership experience, strong math and communication skills, and a valid CA driver’s license. The role offers benefits and a 40-hour work week at $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ supervisory/management experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Good math skills.
• Experience supervising or training employees, clients, or volunteers, with regular feedback.
• Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Ability to motivate staff through clear communication and management.
• Word/Excel/Outlook at beginner–intermediate level.
• Organized and able to work independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Valid CA Class C driver’s license and proof of personal auto insurance.
• Reliable vehicle for essential duties.
• Access to a phone for emergencies and coverage calls.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the 1-Touch process to maximize efficiency, safety, production, and sales goals.
• Maintain inventory quality standards; set standards for each department.
• Support the store budget and financial objectives under the Store Manager.
• Train employees and clients in proper work habits, job responsibilities, and policies/procedures.
• Complete and submit accurate and timely payroll records.
• Ensure the store operates with high professional ethics and safety practices.
