The City of New York, Office of Domestic Violence (ODV), is recruiting two NoVA/PATH Social Workers to provide crisis intervention, counseling, and referrals for domestic violence survivors across the DHS shelter network.

Position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a NY LMSW or LCSW license within one year of appointment; failure to obtain license triggers probation adjustments or termination. Weekend and holiday work may be required.

Competenze

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
• You will be required to have a valid LMSW or LCSW license issued by the NYS Education Department within one year of appointment.
• If you fail to obtain the license within 18 months, you will be terminated.

Mansioni

• Provide individual crisis intervention, short term trauma counseling and ongoing safety planning.
• Conduct screening and assessment to determine eligibility for DV shelter placement.
• Provide on-site counseling services and make appropriate referrals to social/other services.
• Maintain case records and provide DV consultation for DHS staff.
