Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Individual crisis intervention, short term trauma counseling and ongoing safety planning.
• Conduct screening and assessment to determine eligibility for DV shelter placement.
• Provide on-site counseling services and formulate an evaluation and treatment plan.
• Assess service needs and provide individual counseling services to clients.
• Make referrals to social/other services and follow-up to ensure receipt of services.
• Participate in case conferences and provide DV consultation for DHS social worker staff.
• Participate in training for DHS staff on domestic violence and related issues.
• Assist with domestic violence shelter placement when appropriate.
• Provide advocacy services as required.
• Maintain case records with required information and maintain statistical and written records.
