Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated SAFE Program clinician to provide crisis counseling and advocacy for patients with domestic violence and sexual assault concerns. The role includes safety planning, resource linkage, and on-call coverage, with documentation in EMR and collaboration with a wide care network.

The ideal candidate holds a human service degree, with MSW preferred, and possesses strong communication skills and crisis experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a human service degree; 2 years DV/SA experience may substitute.
• Preferred: Master’s in Social Work or health-related field.
• Current driver’s license, automobile and insurance proof.
• Two years’ experience with victims of violence preferred; acute care setting experience a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to work in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to provide crisis response, safety planning and referrals.
• Ensure crisis responses are comprehensive and well documented.
• Track, document and report all interventions.
• Participate in ongoing staff education and precepting.
• Engage in community outreach as needed; support GBMC values.
