Job summary

The YWCA Union County is seeking a qualified professional to oversee the Court Advocacy component of its Family Justice Center. You will manage the program, coordinate funding, and liaise with court partners to ensure services for domestic violence victims.

Responsibilities include accompanying victims to court, providing referrals, maintaining reporting to funders, and supervising volunteers and interns. Strong communication and advocacy skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' experience.
• Knowledge of domestic violence and criminal justice systems.
• Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Oversee Court Advocacy program operations and development.
• Coordinate funding and reporting to donors.

Responsibilities

• Develops program design, policies, and procedures.
• Accompany victims into the courtroom and provide referrals.
• Counsel victims in court and assist with affidavits.
• Maintain relationships with Family Court, prosecutors, and law enforcement.
• Stay informed on family law related to domestic violence.
• Participate in supervisory meetings with the Director of Family Justice Center.
• Attend staff and partner meetings.
• Attend client case review meetings when necessary.
• Represent the YWCA on external committees.
• All duties as needed and directed.
• All positions will be trained in hotline and shelter shifts.
