Job summary

South Shore Resource and Advocacy Center (SSRAC) in Plymouth, MA is seeking a Domestic Violence Hospital Coordinator to provide advocacy, case management and counseling. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or life experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience with trauma or human services.

Responsibilities include coordinating hospital-based services, supervising volunteers, and participating in outreach and training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with victims and community outreach.
• Strong organizational, written and oral skills.
• General knowledge and experience in trauma, criminal justice, or other community-based victim or human services.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• General knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide Advocacy and case management;
• Attend monthly supervision meetings;
• Complete paperwork in a timely manner;
• Attend training as required;
• Coordinate volunteer training for hospital-based program;
• Create schedule for hospital coverage;
• Coordinate training with hospital staff;
• Supervise volunteers for hospital-based program;
• Complete high risk and intake assessments;
• Provide individual and group counseling;
• Assist in outreach and public awareness activities and events.

Job description

Program/ Location: South Shore Resource & Advocacy Center (SSRAC) - Plymouth, MA
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or life experience, preferred
Pay Range: $22-29/hr depending on experience
Status: Full Time / 40 hours a week
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 9am to 5pm; Backup/on call and hotline required

Domestic Violence Hospital Coordinator Requirements

• Assist in the coordination of and participate in outreach and public awareness activities and events.
