Job summary

TemPositions Group of Companies in New York is seeking full-time Case Managers to work within a domestic violence residential and legal program. The role provides direct services including individual and group counseling, advocacy, referrals, and budget counseling.

You will develop housing referrals, assess vocational and educational needs, collaborate with public assistance administrators, and facilitate psycho-educational groups under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health/human services, sociology, psychology or social work.
• 2 years of relevant training and experience, including working with victims of domestic violence.
• Must be knowledgeable and sensitive towards domestic violence issues.
• Residential experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct service provision: individual and group counseling, advocacy, referrals and follow-up.
• Develop and maintain housing referral resources and assist residents in securing permanent housing.
• Assess residents' vocational and educational needs and placement/follow-up.
• Liaise with H.R.A. Public Assistance and Medicaid Administrators to assist residents in obtaining benefits.
• Develop with residents a contract of mutually agreed goals and objectives.
• Facilitate psycho-educational groups.
