Job summary

LifeBridge Health's Carroll Hospital unit seeks an on-call advocate to provide crisis intervention, safety assessment, and referrals for identified domestic violence victims during after-hours.

Join the Center for Hope team within LifeBridge Health to work with clinicians and community partners, rotate weeklong shifts, and support victims across ages and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience with domestic violence and other abuse victims preferred.
• Experience in elder abuse, human trafficking and sexual assault.
• Strong crisis intervention and safety planning skills.
• Familiarity with protection/restraining orders.

Responsibilities

Job description

Provides on call crisis intervention, safety assessment and referrals to identified victims of domestic violence and other abuses upon referral from hospital units during non-program hours at Carroll Hospital.

Key Responsibilities: Provides safety assessment, domestic violence and other abuse education and emotional support to identified victims. Formulates safety plan with victim and provides resources. Communicates with medical staff regarding victim's disposition and regarding referrals.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum of one year of experience with domestic violence and other abuse victims preferred
• Experience in elder abuse, human trafficking and sexual assault.
• Strong crisis intervention and safety planning skills and familiarity with protection/restraining orders.
• Training/orientation $17/hour, on call rates apply for off hour
• Position is on-call response to victims of abuse seen afterhours and weekends at Carroll Hospital.
• Advocate rotates a weeklong shift with other advocates, compensated for shift, response intervention and any training time.

Pay Range: $17.00 to $17.00
