Job summary

The World Bank Group in Washington, DC seeks a Program Officer for Declaration of Interests to lead analysis of DOIs, engage with staff, and support the rollout of the new DOI program.

You will work in the ATV unit, collaborate across teams, apply rigorous judgment to conflicts of interest risks, and contribute to data management, reporting, and vetting processes while upholding confidentiality and high standards.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, economics, law or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant demonstrated experience in Compliance, Banking or Finance, with an in-depth understanding of financial markets and instruments.
  • Prior experience leading or working on Declaration of Interests or financial disclosure programs of governments or international organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in identifying, analyzing and managing complex personal and financial conflict of interest risks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to analyze, synthesize and present materials effectively with a clear and precise writing style.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing work demands.

Responsibilities

  • Performing independently, fully professional-level analysis of DOIs to identify conflicts of interest risks.
  • Directly meeting filers: staff, Senior Leaders and Board Officials, to discuss and resolve risks.
  • Assisting with the administration of the DOI Programs and platform, including assisting filers to complete declarations.
  • Updating DOI forms and communication templates and confirming filing population.
  • Providing data and analysis for progress reports, annual reports, and audits.
  • Contributing to quality control of the DOI review process.
  • Supporting integration of AI into the new DOI system and testing AI-assisted solutions.
  • Updating the Department on novel conflicts of interest risks and systemic issues.
  • Responding to DOI-related questions from filers and providing general support to the ATV Team.
