Job summary

World Resources Institute is hiring a Data Ethics & Governance Analyst for an 18-month, hybrid role based in Washington, DC. The position supports the Civic Science Fellows program and will contribute to data sovereignty, benefit-sharing, and open data governance practice.

You will join the Data Lab and collaborate across teams to translate research into actionable policy guidance, with a focus on community-embedded research and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; additional work experience may substitute.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time relevant professional experience.
• Experience conducting research or managing projects from scoping to findings.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze emerging data governance issues and open data approaches.
• Plan interviews and engage communities to inform governance decisions.
• Support data governance guidance, processes, and project delivery.
• Participate in the Civic Science Fellows cohort and share learnings.
