Bark Away is a premium dog care company offering DayPlay, Overnight Stays, Grooming, and Training. This Pack Leader role emphasizes safety, animal wellbeing, and exceptional guest experience for every pup and pet parent.

No experience is needed for this position, but a love for animals, strong observation, and calmness in a fast-paced setting are essential. The team fosters a supportive culture with opportunities for growth and benefits after milestones.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic dog behaviors and body language.
• Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle animals safely, including large breeds.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Remain calm and friendly with dogs and staff.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and be active all day.
• Comfortable indoors and outdoors with dogs of all temperaments.
• Availability for flexible scheduling including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all dogs using proper handling techniques.
• Monitor dog health and behavior; report concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Provide a hospitality‑first experience by warmly engaging with every dog.
• Keep play areas clean and restock supplies as needed.
• Follow feeding, exercise, and allergy protocols for every animal.
• Sanitize bedding, dishes, toys, and facilities.
• Assist with lobby customer relations to reassure pet parents.
• Assist with grooming tasks (bathing, brushing, drying).
• Contribute to culture and teamwork through supportive tasks.
• Work respectfully with teammates and maintain a positive attitude.
