Job summary

Bark Away, part of Digs Dog Care, is hiring Pack Members to supervise and care for dogs in daycare and boarding. No experience required; you will learn handling, safety, and customer-service basics while contributing to a warm, pet-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic dog behaviors and body language.
• Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to handle animals safely and confidently, including large/giant breed dogs.
• Strong attention to detail and follow directions closely.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors with dogs of all sizes.
• Flexible scheduling, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of all dogs using proper handling techniques.
• Monitor health and behavior; report concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Deliver a hospitality-first experience with warm interactions.
• Keep play areas and accommodations clean; manage cleaning tasks.
• Follow feeding, medication, exercise and allergy protocols.
• Sanitize bedding and utensils; restock supplies as needed.
• Assist with lobby customer relations and inform pet parents.
• Assist with grooming tasks (bathing, brushing, drying).
• Contribute to culture, pet well-being, and hospitality experience.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude with teammates.
