Job summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a skilled Woodworker II to support fabrication, prototyping, production, packaging, and logistics activities for DoD programs at NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field in St. Inigoes, Maryland.

Responsibilities include constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden crates, pallets, and shipping containers, reading drawings, and ensuring safety and quality. Onsite schedule with potential compressed work schedule applies.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of professional woodworking, carpentry, crating, packaging, fabrication, or related experience.
• Experience constructing and repairing crates, pallets, boxes, shipping containers, or custom wooden structures.
• Proficiency using woodworking hand tools, power tools, measurement equipment, and pneumatic fastening systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, sketches, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Construct, fabricate, assemble, modify, and repair wooden products including crates, pallets, shipping containers, storage bins, and protective packaging systems.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and packing requirements to determine material and fabrication needs.
• Measure, mark, cut, shape, and fit wood using hand and power tools.
• Assemble components using nails, screws, adhesives, staples, and fastening systems.
• Build shipping crates and protective packaging for sensitive government equipment and prototypes.
