Job summary

HART Technologies, Inc. is hiring a Technical Writer to support DoD projects in Dahlgren, VA. The role will create and revise manuals, reports, brochures, and articles for product teams.

The ideal candidate is mission-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; US citizenship and DoD clearance preferred. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent writing and grammatical skills.

Responsibilities

• Writes and edits reference manuals and product manuals.
• Writes and edits procedural documentation such as user guides and manuals.
• Determines the publication type best suited for the project.
• Meets with engineers, programmers, and project managers to learn about products or processes.
• Researches product samples to fully understand the product.
• Assesses audience needs and adjusts tone and terminology accordingly.
• Plans writing processes and sets timelines and deadlines.
• Creates diagrams, charts, and visual aids with designers to aid understanding.
• Gathers feedback from customers, designers, and manufacturers to improve documents.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
