Job summary

Seneca Holdings seeks a Technical Writer for the ARAT program responsible for producing system documentation, user manuals, and in-code documentation in Markdown. You will edit CDRLs and ensure government standards are met, while applying CUI markings and maintaining documentation alongside software baselines.

You will work within a collaborative team, perform reviews, and mentor others. Travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground is required; contractor location flexibility is provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
  • 4 to 8 years of professional experience in technical documentation.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance at time of application.
  • Position-specific training beyond the common set: Records management and CUI marking; Derivative Classification for classified docs.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD; contractor location flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Produce System User's Manual for directed efforts and Help content in software packages.
  • Edit and prepare CDRL deliverables: trip reports, presentations, MOM packages, meeting minutes, monthly status reports.
  • Ensure deliverables require no substantive Government correction.
  • Author in Markdown within GitLab repository and maintain documentation as code.
  • Apply correct CUI markings to drafts and delivered material.
