Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to support the development and maintenance of high-quality technical materials in Crane, IN.

This role involves researching, collecting, analyzing, and organizing technical information while ensuring all documentation adheres to government specifications for accuracy, clarity, and consistency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including writers and engineers, performing editing, graphics, and desktop publishing tasks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree + 5 years related experience; degree substitution allowed
• Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; Interim Secret needed to start
• U.S. citizen required
• Proficient with Arbortext Editor, XML, DTP, graphics, flowcharts, MS Office, and Acrobat
• Experience with DoD standards and MIL-STD-3001, MIL-STD-40051, MIL-STD-38784, and S1000D

Responsibilities

• Editing and formatting technical documents
• Creating and manipulating graphics and illustrations
• Providing desktop publishing support
• Participating in project and review meetings
• Maintaining organized records
• Performing clerical and administrative duties
