Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Technical Writer III to contribute to government, defense, and intelligence projects. You will develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation supporting engineering, installation, testing, operations, and sustainment activities.

You will prepare SOPs, work instructions, test plans, user guides, and reports, translating complex technical concepts for multiple audiences while ensuring quality and version control. US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in technical writing or similar role.
• Active DoD Secret or the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation for engineering, installation, testing, operations, and sustainment activities.
• Prepare SOPs, Work Instructions, Test Plans, User Guides, and Technical Reports.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure accurate written deliverables; maintain revision history and templates.
