Job summary

Applied Technology Solutions, Inc. (ATS) seeks a Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and delivery of DoD and aerospace hardware systems in Huntsville.

The successful candidate will possess a BS in engineering (ABET-accredited), hands-on systems engineering experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, or equivalent, from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, engineering product development, system integration, requirements management, technical program execution, configuration management, or related engineering discipline.
• Experience developing, documenting, decomposing, tracing, managing, or verifying engineering or system requirements.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering design, development, integration, test, verification, or technical-data deliverables.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from Statements of Work, technical specifications, engineering drawings, interface documentation, and contractual deliverable requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and project-coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple engineering deliverables and priorities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Derive, document, decompose, allocate, and maintain system-level requirements from SOWs and customer specs.
• Develop and maintain requirements traceability across lifecycle stages.
• Ensure designs provide objective evidence of compliance with requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces and communications.
• Manage Interface Control Documents and technical communications among stakeholders.
• Support systems integration, verification, and test-planning activities.
