Job summary

Mountain Top Talent is seeking a mission-focused Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and lifecycle management of aviation and ground DoD systems. You will work across DoD programs, manage system requirements, and ensure cybersecurity and regulatory compliance in a secure environment.

The role requires deep systems engineering expertise, software/hardware integration, and readiness to travel 10% to customer sites and Jovian HQ, with remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Systems Eng, EE, CS or related field.
• 10 years in aerospace/defense systems engineering.
• Knowledge of DoD lifecycle and SE standards (INCOSE, IEEE 15288).
• Experience with software/hardware integration on airborne or ground systems.
• Proficient with SE tools: IBM DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody, MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level requirements and architectures for aviation and ground platforms.
• Perform decomposition and traceability using DOORS, Cameo or similar.
• Support integration of embedded software, avionics, sensors into systems.
• Support development and verification per DoD standards; participate in trade studies and CONOPS.
• Contribute to risk management, configuration control, and technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
