Job summary

G2 Ops, Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support mission architecture, interoperability, and assessments for a DoD customer environment. You will review program docs, identify risks, and contribute to independent technical reviews.

The role emphasizes collaboration, analytical writing, and readiness to obtain an Active DoD Secret clearance. You’ll work with a team across engineering, cybersecurity, and operations to improve review processes and develop AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• 3+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review Information Support Plans and Systems Engineering Plans for completeness, accuracy, architecture alignment, and JITC compliance.
• Assess system interfaces, information exchanges, dependencies, technical baselines, and operational environments.
• Draft prioritized technical comments with supporting rationale and corrective recommendations.
• Enter approved comments into JASM.
• Support SETR/ITRA activities by evaluating technical readiness, identifying risks, and advising Technical Warrant Holders.
• Develop technical briefs, decision-support materials, and review documentation.
• Participate in technical meetings, review boards, working sessions, and biweekly architecture working groups.
• Promote architecture best practices and support model walkthroughs across program offices.
• Develop an AI-enabled tool to automate repetitive SEP review tasks.
