Job summary

Amentum is seeking a mid-level System Administrator to support a DoW customer in Springfield, VA. The role involves maintaining secure, virtualized networks and direct client engagement with opportunities for small travel within the NCR.

Ideal candidates have DoD policy familiarity, strong Windows/AD skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment under the IT Manager's supervision.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and polygraph ability.
• At least 4 years of Windows, AD/DNS/DHCP, and basic TCP/IP experience.
• Security+ or DoD 8140/8570 IAT II certification current.
• Azure Administrator (AZ104) certification current.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support an enterprise-wide help desk across multiple network locations.
• Implement group policies, access control, and user account maintenance.
• Evaluate, install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and peripherals.
• Manage patching, software installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Secure network equipment per DISA STIGs and related standards for DoD compliance.
• Maintain ACAS, HBSS, WSUS, and similar systems to secure DoW networks.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled data backups and restorations.
• Stay current with technologies and support client needs with custom applications.
• Coordinate tasks under the IT Manager and meet customer requirements.
