Job summary

Amentum is seeking a mid-level System Administrator for a DoW customer in Springfield, VA. The role focuses on maintaining secure, virtualized networks, handling patches, group policies, backups, and proactive security in a DoD environment.

Requires TS/SCI eligibility, Windows server/AD expertise, and AZ104 certification; travel is minimal and on-site presence is essential. Strong communication and independent work skills are a must.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and US citizenship required.
• 4+ years of Windows/Microsoft environment experience including AD, DNS, DHCP and basic TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Windows Server 2019+ and Windows 11 Enterprise; MS Office 2019+.
• Current Security+ or DoD 8140/8570 IAT II certification.
• Current Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ104) certification.

Responsibilities

• Support an enterprise-wide help desk across multiple network locations.
• Implement group policies, host and client access, user account maintenance.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software for integrated systems objectives.
• Maintain patch management, software installation, and upgrades.
• Secure networks per DISA STIGs/SCAP/XCCDF or similar standards for DoD compliance.
• Maintain ACAS/HBSS/WSUS to secure DoW networks.
• Perform backups/restorations of critical data and verify success.
• Stay current with technologies and leverage solutions for client needs.
• Develop and test custom software applications to support client needs.
• Coordinate tasks under supervision of IT Manager and meet deadlines.
