Job summary

SA-TECH is seeking a Spectrum Management Technician to join our DoD-focused team at Dugway Proving Ground, UT. The position supports the West Desert Test Center and DoD spectrum programs, performing RF analysis, frequency management, and coordination with multiple agencies to ensure mission readiness.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, specialized DoD training or equivalent experience, strong data analysis, and field-survey capabilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Specialized DoD-approved training, or eight years of relevant experience.
• Ability to analyze spectrum requirements and prepare frequency proposals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze radio spectrum requirements and assess compatibility with DoD and tenant organizations.
• Manage full lifecycle of frequency management including requests and assignments.
• Review RF applications for accuracy, ITU bands, and DoD directives.
• Generate frequency proposals using automated software and coordinate temporary frequencies.
• Conduct field surveys to monitor spectrum usage and mitigate interference.
• Determine frequency selection for emitters including radios, radar, satellites, UAVs.
• Serve as liaison for spectrum requirements and provide guidance on usage.
• Complete DoD Spectrum Management Course training as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
