Job summary

AUSGAR Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join our San Diego team. The role supports a Horizon ISR program in a DoD environment, focusing on security, systems engineering and agile development practices.

The position requires TS clearance eligibility, DoD work experience and hands-on Linux, container and cloud infrastructure expertise. Willingness to travel and mentor junior staff is valued.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field from an accredited college/university and relevant DoD experience.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware, AWS, containers, and automation tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain systems in a secure, mission-critical DoD environment.
• Participate in an Agile software development and system integration environment.
• Perform Linux (Red Hat) system administration tasks, including patching and hardening.
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Integrate virtualized environments (VMware) and automate provisioning/configuration.
• Administer PKI and related security in DoD environments.
• Manage and deploy AWS-based infrastructure for system requirements.
• Collaborate on system designs and install/deployment documentation.
