Job summary

AUSGAR Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our San Diego team in support of DoD programs.

You will contribute to design, integration, testing, deployment and sustainment of complex defense systems, working with cross-functional teams across hardware, software, network and cybersecurity domains. The ideal candidate has a Secret clearance, a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years of systems engineering experience, with strong communication,

Qualifications

• Must possess a Secret level security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a related technical discipline from an accredited college/university and 3+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Ability to analyze requirements and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to develop, read, interpret and apply technical documentation.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the engineering lifecycle from concept development through design, integration, testing, deployment and sustainment.
• Analyze customer, operational and technical requirements and translate them into system-level requirements and specifications.
• Participate in systems architecture development, interface definition, requirements allocation and trade studies.
• Support the integration of hardware, software, network, cybersecurity and platform systems within complex operational environments.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including requirements documents, interface control documents (ICDs), design artifacts, test procedures and technical reports.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders, program managers, software developers, cybersecurity personnel and test teams to ensure successful program execution.
• Assist in planning and conducting system integration testing, verification, validation and operational assessments.
• Support technical reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and SAR.
• Evaluate system performance, identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Analyze engineering data, test results and system metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
• Support cybersecurity, compliance and accreditation activities as required.
• Participate in configuration management, change control processes and technical baseline management.
• Provide technical recommendations to support program execution, modernization efforts and future capability development.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures and system configuration records.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, security, maintainability and operational efficiency.
