Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is hiring for an onsite production test technician. You will conduct functional and environmental tests on electronic and electromechanical items, operate test equipment, and ensure conformance to military and manufacturing specs. The role requires shift flexibility and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances.

The position emphasizes troubleshooting, assembly, and inspection of production and prototype items, with benefits and union considerations per site policies.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in functional electronic, electromechanical, and/or mechanical production items.
• Ability to work any designated shift, including overnight.
• Ability to interpret engineering, military, and manufacturing specifications.
• Fabricate, assemble, diagnose, troubleshoot and produce items.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Ability to obtain ATF clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and operational tests on production items.
• Operate standard and specialized test equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality control methods and standards.
• Plan, set up, and perform tests under all conditions.
• Handle tasks with or without predetermined procedures across electrical, mechanical, and sub-systems.
• Lay out, fabricate, assemble, modify, diagnose, repair and inspect items.
