Job summary

Leidos' Digital Sector is building a new Agile development team to modernize federal IT, offering early-stage flexibility with partial telework and on-site security-focused work in Washington, DC.

You will develop automated CI/CD pipelines, manage Kafka/Elastic clusters, ensure STIG compliance, and collaborate across DevOps, Security, Cloud and App Engineering to deliver reliable, secure software for critical missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline with 8–12 years of experience.
• Masters degree with 6–10 years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain required DoD certifications.
• Experience developing software in an Agile environment and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience with distributed version control systems and Linux-based development.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (CloudBees), Artifactory, Kubernetes (OpenShift), Docker, Ansible and Bitbucket.
• Assist with deployment, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, updates/upgrades of Kafka and Elastic clusters in AWS.
• Configure applications to integrate network data into an Elastic (ELK) stack in AWS.
• Ensure DoD security standards and STIGs are met in deployments.
• Develop centralized dashboards and observability for health, performance, security, and cloud spend.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Cloud, and App Engineering teams to integrate security controls into pipelines.
• Work with an Agile team in a distributed environment and participate in daily scrums.
