Job summary

KBR is seeking a Project Engineer (Contingency) to support TACOM operations with maintenance, modernization, and sustainment activities. You will plan, coordinate, and execute engineering tasks to ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and performance requirements, while supporting process improvements and problem resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related).
• 3-5 years in engineering, maintenance, or sustainment in a DoD/government/industrial setting.
• Ability to read and apply technical manuals, drawings, and specs.
• Experience with project coordination, scheduling, and problem solving.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects for maintenance, repair, and modernization.
• Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting complex equipment and system issues.
• Review technical manuals, drawings, specs, and work instructions.
• Support development of engineering solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with maintenance, production, and logistics for project execution.
• Monitor schedules, milestones, and deliverables per PWS requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Army regs, engineering standards, and QA/QC.
• Support configuration management and engineering changes.
• Prepare technical reports and analyses for decision-making.
• Participate in inspections and readiness evaluations; maintain EHS compliance.
