Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Patch and Test Technician at MacDill AFB, FL. The role supports high-availability communications, provisioning and restoring services, and field support across secure networks in a 24/7 environment.

Required 3+ years in military/enterprise telecoms, DoD 8140/8570 certification, and Secret clearance eligibility. Onsite position with potential travel to forward locations; lifting up to 50 lbs, and valid US passport required.

Qualifications

DoD 8140/8570 certification required; bachelor’s degree not required.
3+ years in high-tempo military or enterprise telecommunications environments.
Secret clearance (eligible to obtain/maintain DoD Secret).
Experience with long-haul data/voice technologies and encryption devices.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and manage daily work assignments to meet operational requirements.
Troubleshoot, install, operate, and maintain facility systems for continuous service.
Operate and maintain fixed and deployable IT systems, including long-haul networks.
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecommunications equipment.
Handle service requests, reports, and outages; track in ServiceNow/FaCIT.
