Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a network engineer for MacDill AFB, FL, supporting GSM-O II JCSE. You will handle daily operations, design improvements, system assessments, and hands-on engineering to keep critical networks running.

The role requires HS diploma, 5+ years of experience, active Secret clearance, DoD 8140 IAT II, and CCNA status. You will troubleshoot, document changes, and work on 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 5+ years of experience.
• Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
• CCNA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational routing and switching support with Cisco routers and switches.
• Troubleshoot routing protocols and network performance across LAN/WAN/CAN.
• Cross-train and support multiple technologies including SATCOM, Voice, VDI/Virtualization.
• Ensure adherence to DoD standards, policies, cybersecurity policies, and best practices.
• Document outages and network changes using ticketing systems.
