Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to join a federal program based in Pearl Harbor, HI. The role supports a large-scale enterprise network with LAN/WAN/WLAN, routing, switching, and network security, with Tier III troubleshooting.

You will lead issue resolution, configure and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and network sensors; serve as SME across disciplines; participate in Agile ceremonies and track work with JIRA.

Qualifications

Active Secret Security Clearance.
DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III cert such as CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security, or other qualifying certification.
Bachelor's or Master's degree with relevant professional experience.
Recognized network vendor certs (Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead efforts to identify, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve complex network issues in a dynamic enterprise environment.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (switches, routers, VLANs, APs, firewalls, sensors).
Provide engineering expertise and operational support for one of the world's largest intranet environments.
Serve as Tier III escalation resource for complex incidents and coordinate with vendors for resolution.
Act as SME and escalation backstop across multiple network disciplines.
Track engineering work in an Agile/SAFe framework using JIRA.
