Job summary

Peraton in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Logistics and Inventory Management Specialist to support our DoD customer. The role focuses on asset management, inventory tracking, and efficient material flow within a high-security environment.

The successful candidate will work onsite Monday through Friday in the Baltimore metropolitan area, partnering with warehouse teams, suppliers, and end users to ensure accurate stock levels and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• Experience ladder: 7 yrs AS/AA; 5 yrs BS/BA; 3 yrs MS/MA; PhD not typical.
• Four years of experience can substitute a BS/BA.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
• Knowledge of the Federal Supply System and DPAS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to partner with internal/external teams.
• Detail-oriented problem solver under pressure.
• Customer-service oriented.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Asset management execution aligned to customer policies.
• Inventory tracking across storage locations for real-time visibility.
• Track requisitions and orders using DPAS for full asset accountability.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimize storage and material flow.
• Verify incoming shipments, document variances, and issue items.
• Communicate with suppliers on delivery schedules and returns.
• Measure and improve asset-management processes; implement corrective actions.
• Suggest improvements to inventory workflows and tracking systems.
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas for efficient operations.
