Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Logistics and Inventory Management Specialist in our Linthicum, MD office to support a DoD customer. The role focuses on asset management execution, real-time inventory visibility, and coordination with warehouse teams to optimize material flow.

Responsibilities include tracking requisitions in DPAS, verifying shipments, coordinating with suppliers, and continuously improving inventory processes.

Qualifications

• 7 yrs with AS/AA; 5 yrs with BS/BA; 3 yrs with MS/MA; 0 yrs with PhD. An additional four years of experience can substitute for BS/BA.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related software.
• Knowledge of the Federal Supply System and DPAS.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization.
• Detail oriented, problem solver who works well under pressure.
• Customer service oriented professional.
• Active Top Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Asset Management Execution — Implement and execute asset-management strategies, policies, and quality practices with minimal supervision.
• Inventory Tracking — Maintain accurate counts of all products, materials, and supplies across storage locations.
• Requisition & Order Tracking — Track requisitions and orders through receipt using DPAS for receiving and asset accountability.
• Warehouse Collaboration — Work with warehouse teams to optimize storage and material flow.
• Shipment Verification — Inspect and verify incoming shipments and document variances.
• Supplier Coordination — Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, and returns.
• Process Measurement & Improvement — Measure and improve asset-management processes and implement corrective actions.
• Workflow & System Enhancements — Recommend improvements to inventory workflows and tracking systems.
• Storage Area Maintenance — Keep storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
