Job summary

Peraton is seeking an IT Specialist to support the SITEC – 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order at Fort Carson, CO. The role provides Tier 1/2 network, systems, and phone support and administers network and communications systems, including routers, switches, VTCs, phones, laptops, and related IT equipment.

You will create monitoring reports, coordinate IT administration with the networking and systems team, and prepare technical implementation plans with milestones,

Qualifications

• BS + 2 years of experience OR HS with + 6 years of experience OR AA with + 4 years of experience.
• DoD TS w/ SCI is required.
• Solid technical skills across network protocols, software, and hardware in IT Specialist operations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, plus good communication abilities.
• CCNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier one and two network, systems, and phone support.
• Administer network and communications systems (routers, switches, VTCs, phones, laptops).
• Create monitoring reports and maintain equipment logs; ensure link functionality.
• Coordinate IT administration with team; document long-range requirements and manage enterprise resources.
• Prepare technical implementation plans with milestones and timelines.
• Research standards and ensure network compliance; monitor performance and availability.
• Provide full lifecycle support for LAN and WAN infrastructures.
• Configure and maintain LAN/WAN equipment, including routers, switches, and encryption devices.
• Support VPN services to securely connect remote elements per DoD and USSOCOM policies.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluate architectural changes.
