Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. in the Fort Hood area seeks a Plumber Technician to provide oversight, inspection, and QA for plumbing systems on federal construction projects.

The role ensures installations meet IPC, UFC, and contract requirements through review, testing, and on-site validation. The ideal candidate has a valid plumbing license, a decade of experience in plumbing installation or construction oversight, and the ability to obtain access to military installations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; plumbing technical training preferred.
• Valid Plumbing License required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in plumbing installation, inspection, testing, or construction oversight.
• Thorough knowledge of IPC, UFC, and applicable plumbing standards.
• Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting federal, DoD, USACE, or military construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish understanding of International Plumbing Codes and UFC requirements.
• Attend meetings to discuss work features for project success.
• Perform plan reviews and site inspections to identify fire risks and compliance gaps.
• Schedule and conduct plumbing system inspections across pre-, during, and post-construction phases.
• Evaluate work practices for code and contract compliance; prepare corrective actions.
• Review submittals and RFIs; provide comments and scope adjustments.
• Schedule final acceptance tests of installed plumbing systems.
