Job summary

Nemean Solutions LLC is seeking a Safety and Health Officer to administer the site-specific safety program at Defense Supply Center Columbus. You will develop and maintain the safety plan, review hazard analyses, monitor practices for OSHA/EM 385-1-1/NFPA compliance, and coordinate permits for high-hazard activities.

The role requires training and experience in incident investigations, training records, and Stop-Work authority to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Documented experience administering safety and health requirements for facility operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and 1926, EM 385-1-1, NFPA standards.
• Ability to develop site-specific safety plans and Activity Hazard Analyses.
• Ability to prepare inspection, training, incident, and corrective-action records and reports.
• Ability to complete site, security, safety, and refresher training.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and update the Job/Site Safety Plan for major work on contract.
• Prepare and maintain Activity Hazard Analyses for various activities.
• Monitor work areas for compliance with safety requirements and correct hazards.
• Coordinate permits for hot work, confined-space, and other high-hazard activities.
• Investigate accidents and injuries and report incidents as required.
• Provide safety training status and incident information for management reports.
• Exercise stop-work authority when hazards arise and ensure safe restart.
