Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain IaC/CaC pipelines for DoW enterprise environments at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. The role emphasizes automated provisioning, configuration management, and secure baseline enforcement.

You will work with Red Hat technologies (RHEL) and Ansible Automation Platform, automate CI/CD workflows, and collaborate with systems engineers, network architects, and cybersecurity teams to deliver scalable, auditable

Qualifications

DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
DoW 8140 compliance required (Work Role 451 – System Administrator).
DoD 8570 IAT II certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy IaC and CaC pipelines for provisioning and lifecycle management of enterprise servers/services.
Engineer and administer enterprise automation platforms (e.g., Ansible Platform, AWX) including architecture planning and health monitoring.
Write and optimize Ansible playbooks, roles and scripts (YAML, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Automate DoD STIG enforcement and security baselines across RHEL and Windows environments.
Develop API integrations to connect automation platforms with hypervisors, cloud, IPAM, and ITSM systems for zero-touch provisioning.
Collaborate with systems engineers, network architects, and cybersecurity teams to translate SOPs into automated playbooks and GitOps workflows.
Troubleshoot automation pipeline failures, Ansible errors, drift, and API bottlenecks.
Maintain documentation for code, architecture, repositories, and playbook logic.
