Job summary

By Light Professional IT Services LLC is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to support DoD software development, defining requirements and implementing security controls throughout the SDLC. The role requires IAT Level II certification and the ability to perform assessments using both manual and automated methods, with travel less than 10% and on-site work in Orlando.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/cybersecurity/IT, experience with NIST SP 800-53 controls, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, IT or related field required; professional and/or military experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• IAT Level II certification required immediately upon hire; ongoing CE as specified by cert authority.

Responsibilities

• Define cybersecurity requirements for software applications to meet program requirements and objectives.
• Provide recommendations to incorporate security engineering practices throughout the lifecycle.
• Perform assessments of cybersecurity requirements using manual and automated tools; present findings to customer.
