Job summary

Oracle Government Defense & Intelligence seeks a Cloud Solution Engineer to act as a trusted technical partner for Department of Defense accounts, with primary alignment to the Army. This hybrid role requires three in-office days per week in the Washington, DC area and focuses on secure, scalable cloud solutions for mission-critical workloads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in solution engineering, presales or cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with major hyperscale cloud platforms (OCI preferred).
• Strong ability to translate requirements into practical architectures.
• Experience with government, defense, or enterprise accounts is a plus.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as dedicated technical advisor to Department of Defense accounts during the sales cycle.
• Lead discovery to understand missions, environments, and requirements.
• Architect cloud solutions for programs of record and modernization initiatives.
• Design and deliver demos, workshops, and proofs of concept tailored to customers.
• Contribute to RFIs, RFPs, and complex government procurements.
• Translate requirements into reference architectures and roadmaps.
• Engage post-sale to ensure deployment, adoption and expansion.
